A England has recently launched their own nail and cuticle oil, “The Rose”. I’ve been a huge fan of the Bliss Kiss nail oil since 2014 (check my review here) so I obviously had to compare these two oils. Please do bear in mind that this review will only be relevant to some people; for example many people love Sweet Baby Donna oil which I have tried and found it actually made my nails worse!
The first difference you’ll notice is that the Bliss Kiss oil comes in a pen with a brush tip. These pens are refillable and quite easy to deal with once you have the knack of it; you can buy replacement pens or large bottles to top up with. The website is American however you can order worldwide but may encounter customs fees. It’s available scent free or in a range of different scents, some only available at certain times of the year.
The A England oil comes in a regular A England bottle with one of the newer wide, soft brushes. No replacement or top up bottles are available as of writing; whether this will change or not I don’t know. It’s available from shop.polishedpevil.com if you’re in the UK or various other sites around the world. It’s currently only available with a delicate rose fragrance.
On to the trial. I used nothing other than the oils for 7 days. I hadn’t been using anything for a few days before this either. I used A England on the left hand and Bliss Kiss on the right. You can see the pictures below.
Overall I didn’t notice much difference in either oil. My personal preference is scent-free because I put my chin in my hands a lot and whilst the rose scent is lovely I don’t want to smell it all day. However the inconvenience of ordering from America means when my Bliss Kiss runs out I will swap to the A England oil. Personally I find them both to be fantastic oils and worth using.
