Beauty and the Beast – my favourite Disney film of all time and now some nails to go with it
I’ve been excited but also anxious about the live action version of Beauty and the Beast. I went to see it today and had to have nails to match it. Anyone who loves the original Disney carton definitely needs to go and see this film, it was amazing. So true to it and the additions and little changes they did make worked really well.

Polishes used for the main nails, I didn’t get a picture of the ones I used for the rose I’m afraid
These nails were surprisingly not too hard to do. Of course I had to use my Beauty and the Beast top coat for it as well!

First a base colour of white for the pottery. You’ll notice my middle finger nail was a bit chipped at one corner so it was accidentally perfect for this, should really have put a face on for Chip!

Next up a purple french manicure for the base of the pottery

Some pink and mint patches for the pattern. I did these using a dotting tool and just dragging the dot down slightly

A thin brush was used for the gold lines either side of the pattern and then a blue from Barry M was put on my ring finger for the background of the rose window

A green S shape for the wilting rose stem with some messy leaves/thorns sticking off it and a little blob of pink for the rose head itself. I tried to show a petal starting to fall

Finally I used a Models Own nail art pen to draw the black outlines on for the stained glass window. This helped make the rose look a bit more rose like
I was really pleased with how these turned out, please let me know what you think in the comments below. Also would love to hear from anyone who has seen the film and see what your thoughts are.
Great work! Your hand pose is really unique too 👍🏻

Thank you and thanks for the comment on the hand pose, I wanted something different and I find that one doesn’t hurt too much either which is always a bonus!
