Happy Valentines everyone!
I don’t actually celebrate Valentines but oh well, sometimes you just have to go with the flow and do the nails anyway. Plus I got caught on my way to work by our local BBC radio “out on the streets” guy and did a 30 second interview in exchange for a rose which was the perfect prop for pictures. Got to think of these things.
The idea for these nails greatly appealed to me when I thought of it but I did one nail and wasn’t convinced. My boyfriend however said it looked great and to keep going so I did and am really pleased that I listened to him as I love the end result. Well all but 2 of the nails. I will do a tutorial at some point I think but unfortunately I didn’t think to get the pictures at different stages this time around. They’re actually pretty simple to do though.

The tools I used. A England “Iseult”, Barry M Gelly Hi Shine “Chilli” and Barry M Silk Collection “Truffle” plus a thin brush and a small dotting tool

A England “Iseult” – I’m not a pink fan at all but this one is subtle enough I can live with it and it does have a lovely pearlescent shimmer to it

I achieved this look by putting on a coat of “Iseult” and whilst it was still wet dotting on the alternating “Chilli” and “Truffle” making little triangle/hearts with 3 dots. I then dragged a very thin brush through the middle of them to create the heart effect

Holding my own hands because my boyfriend’s were busy 😦 Taking the pictures for me so I’ll let him off

I finally added some Barry M Matte top coat

Here we are with my rose. I love this picture, thank you so much Rachel for helping me get this shot

Final shot, love this picture too. Such a perfect rose and these were my two best nails as well
I’m totally in love with these nails now, what do you all think of them?
I really like them, Valentines but not in your face about it!! Glad you listened to your bf. 😊
