I love this picture, it really shows the subtle sparkle in "Pearl"

I occasionally spot a good article over on Bloglovin’ by Wonder Forest; it’s not a blog I have to read everything from but she does have some lovely stuff on there from time to time and is very arty-crafty. So when I saw these nails I just had to give them a go. Thank you for the inspiration!

My version along with the inspiration

Not only do these look amazing but they are so simple to do as well. Apply your base colour as usual and then simply take the colours you want to put over the top, allow almost all of the polish to come off your brush on the inside of the bottle neck and then… just swipe! Messy, arty nails in no time.

Dry swipe polishes

Polishes used were all Barry M, left to right: Foil Effects Gold, Cancun, Waikiki, Pearl

If you look on my little finger you can see I started trying this with an Essie polish as well (Chillato) but it wasn’t going to show up well enough so I dropped it.

I still think the originals look better than mine but it’s such a quick and easy way to do some nail art. I’ll definitely be giving this one a go again.
