I can’t believe a month has already gone by since starting this, time certainly has flown. I know I haven’t done very well this month despite me thinking the accountability would help but that’s what it is here for. I can now be named and shamed in front of you all and do better in August.
Weight Loss Goals
So let’s get down to it. I’ll include below my goals for reference, last months readings and this months new readings. I’m not sure where it all went wrong; well no, that’s a lie, I do know and it was in the last couple of weeks. I just pigged out the week before last because it was too warm and so all the ice cream was needed and last week I bought rubbish to eat at work because I was only in for 3 days so couldn’t be bothered making breakfast and lunch (which is a terrible excuse) plus then had a meal out with friends on Friday. I’m firmly of the belief that if you have a special occasion out you don’t ruin it by ordering some tiny 200 calorie salad, you enjoy yourself.
- Goal Weight: 9 stone
- Last Month’s Weight: 10 stone 9 pounds
- Current Weight: 10 stone 10 pounds (+1 pound)
- Goal Body Fat Percentage: 25%
- Last Month’s Body Fat Percentage: 33.9%
- Current Body Fat Percentage: 34.1% (+.2%)
- Goal Waist: <32 inches
- Last Month’s Waist: 34.5 inches
- Current Waist: 37.5 inches (+3 inches)
Wow well I’m hoping the extra waist inches are because it’s that time of the month plus I’ve been sent home ill today with stomach pain and nausea so… yeah. Please be a side effect of that!
Exercise hasn’t been great either. I’ve missed 2 clubbercise sessions (not my fault though, one was that the instructor got held up in traffic, the other she had flu) but they weren’t cancelled ahead of time so I at least still got the walk to and from the classes. I also missed some yoga and pilates sessions due to having some terrible nights with virtually no sleep thanks to the heat. I really don’t do well in the heat at all, I hate it being warm and whilst I can get by on relatively little sleep compared to some people you need to know your limits and 2 hours of sleep then walking 7 miles, working for 7.5 hours and doing an hour of yoga or pilates is probably not the smartest move.

So there we have it. This month I definitely intend to keep up the exercise a lot better. My gym membership is finishing on 12/08 and I have a plan to keep up my yoga and pilates at home twice a week each and with any luck no more clubbercise sessions will be cancelled though I may have to miss this weeks due to travel for work. I also have Pokemon Go so that will encourage me to walk even when I can’t be bothered although my walking is pretty good during the week at least. I’ve also got an under-the-desk exercise bike so if it’s raining and I can’t get out to walk I can still get my heart pumping. I also treated myself to some new trainers (my old ones were literally falling apart) and some yoga leggings. I’ll give them a try this week and then maybe post up a little review of them.
