Day 31: Honour Nails You Love. Well I love a lot of designs. My "Nails" board on Pinterest is filling up rapidly with them. So I decided to just be lazy and go for the last ones I did that I really truly loved, my brown and gold striped gradients but in a different colour. And I love how these turned out just as much. I love the design so much I'm wearing yet another colour variant of it right now though it's not quite so lovely on stubby nails

31 Day Challenge #31dc2015 – The Finale

31 Day Challenge Prompts

31 Day Challenge Prompts

*Collapses on floor and whimpers* Well I did it. I completed the 31 day challenge. Towards the end I didn’t so much as want to look at nail polish anymore. I was so happy to be getting to the end and having a while of not having to do art, I could maybe even just have plain nails for a while! Then I cut them right back (my nails have been splintering very slightly at the sides for months so I took them right down to the nail bed to try and stop this) and I have instantly started wanting to do nail art again but don’t really have the space for it now! Just no satisfying me 🙂

Anyway take a look at the final 4 days of art below and don’t worry, I may have tiny nubs now but I have plenty of old art that needs uploading so you won’t go without while I’m growing them back.

Day 28: Inspired by a flag. I wasn't really sure what to do with this one right up until the day. I first though of the flag for Sheldon and Leonard's apartment from The Big Bang Theory but that was looking too complicated at the time. So I went with the Yorkshire flag. Perfect as I miss Yorkshire so much plus I was already wearing Spirit of the Moors as a base colour

Day 29: Supernatural. This is the closest you'll get to Halloween designs this year now I've chopped by nails back. Inspired by the weaknesses of supernaturals rather than the supernaturals themselves. I'm quite proud of my garlic and fire, the cross isn't bad... let's not talk about the stake.

Day 30: Inspired by a tutorial. This is actually going to be made into a tutorial for this site as well. It's the most basic one you could possibly wish for, how to paint your nails - the 3 strokes you should use.

So there you have it. My first attempt at the challenge is over. I did love doing it and will do it again next year, time permitting of course. I’d also highly recommend anyone who has never tried it to give it a go. There are no strict rules, you don’t have to stick to the time frames, just do it when and how you want but it’s really inspiring and I’m looking forward to going back and redoing some of the designs.

Have any of you completed it? If so please drop me a link to your pictures, I’d love to see them (and be jealous as to why I didn’t think of those designs!)
