I haven’t caught on to the subscription box trend. Apparently it was big a few years ago but it completely passed me by. However this one has now caught my eye. Nailbox UK is a UK based nail polish subscription box and it first came to my attention when Sammy of The Nailasaurus did a review of one. The box is dispatched each month and contains 3 – 4 polishes and 1 – 2 nail tools. There are varying subscriptions available; for complete freedom choose Month to Month for £15.00 or you can pay for a year for £13.50 per month. I chose 6 months which works out at £14.00 per month (£84.00 is charged up front).

Your nailbox turns up in a plain cardboard box - they explain on the site this is to keep the price down which is fine by me, it will only be thrown away anyway

The boxes are dispatched on or around the 21st of each month; just typical I was on holiday this month! Luckily I’d arranged for it to go to my work address as it needs to be signed for so my friend very kindly collected it for me (and checked out the contents as well, she’s so good to me ;))

Just look at that haul! I had looked at all the previous box reviews to get a rough idea of the value that you receive but this is the best one yet without a doubt. I chose a good month to sign up. From my rough workings out this lot should be worth around £31.00 so that’s a pretty good bargain for £14.00 if you ask me. Especially as I have no China Glaze polishes, have recently gotten into stamping and was in love with the original Barry M Speedy Dry colours. So let’s take a closer look.

China Glaze "White on White", Barry M "Need for Speed" and OPI "Kiss Me I'm Brazillian"

Nail Apothecary Cuticle Eliminator - probably the least exciting thing in the box for me but I'll give it a go

Tropical stamping plate from Mo-You, love the designs on this and was thinking of getting more Mo You plates anyway

I love the little bag this comes in! A new scraper and stamper, bit different to the stamper I already have as this is squishy so bit weird to get used to

I haven’t used the polishes yet for any nail art, though i will probably use them soon. I have just used the stamping plate though so expect to see that soon. For now I have some quick swatches of the polishes.

OPI Kiss Me Im Brazillian - this was just one coat. Ignore the bumps in the finish, I did it over Peel Off for ease of swatching which contains glitter so the finish isn't always perfectly smooth

Barry M Need for Speed - such a beautiful purple! This was two coats, love this one. Still as quick to dry as the name promises too

China Glaze White on White - my first China Glaze and I'm impressed. 2 coats which is good for a white and not at all streaky or tippex looking.

Has anyone else had the July (or any previous) nailbox? If so I’d love to see your designs and what you think of the contents, please comment or tag me on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram.
