I can’t help it, I’m weak willed. Whenever I go on holiday I have to buy some OPI; aside from the internet there’s nowhere else I can get it and it might still not be cheap but it’s cheaper at least! So this time when I went away I ended up picking up “My Gecko Does Tricks” and their real gold flake topper (18 carat!) Thankfully it looks amazing plus you know, I was on holiday, I deserved to treat myself! Plus it won’t get used up too quickly since it’s a topper. Yeah, I’m still trying to justify this one to myself.

You may have noticed I'm a sucker for green. But look at this beauty! It changes hue in the light and gets a lovely gold shimmer as well.

Just look at that. I think this gold topper has the perfect amount of flakes, not so many that your nail is overwhelmed but enough that it doesn't feel like you're having to splodge it on just to get something on there

And here it is with flash. Must more vibrant and a leaning towards the yellow end of the spectrum. Springlike!

What do you think of this? Particularly interested in your opinions on the flake topper, too much, not enough or just perfect?

Thank you, so glad you like it, the green is just beautiful. If it wasn’t the gold flake I’d probably have applied more, if it was a normal glitter I’d have gone overboard I’m sure! 🙂
