Stringy Metal

Finished left hand stringy metal

Elegant nude with metallic details.

I’m completely in love with this manicure. I’ve never tried the base colour before (Barry M – Vanilla which I picked up cheap when our Tesco was getting rid of their Barry M’s) and fell in love with it on its own. I’ve also never tried the “stringing” technique before either so it took me a lot longer than it should have. Who knew it took over half an hour for a drop of polish to get to the right gloopiness? Overall though I was really pleased with how this turned out, the right hand was a little smudgier than I’d have liked but 3 of the 5 nails turned out well. Excalibur Renaissance is available on shop.polishedpevil.com and for information on the stringing technique do a Youtube search for “stringy nail polish”. Excuse the staining in some of the pictures; a previous, very green manicure didn’t want to be removed!

As always, click the pictures for a larger view.

Peel Off Base

I used peel off base around my nails to help with clean up, here you can see I still have it on

Needs Clean Up

Peel off base removed, now just need to clean up the remaining mess

Finished right hand after a few days of wear. I didn’t ever get round to adding top coat so some of the strings have slightly chipped off
